I have had a successful career as an independent graphic designer and art director in Amsterdam - Holland. Based on that experience, I have made it my goal to explore further and fulfill my passion of making oil paintings.

 By completing a very comprehensive and in-depth course at the Academy for Old Painting Techniques in Den Bosch, which revealed the secrets of specific techniques of the old master painters, I gained extensive knowledge of materials and especially their application.

 With this newfound knowledge, I went through a new and exciting inquiry and exploration period. I finally found an effective mixture between my experience as a graphic designer and the extensive knowledge of these Old Painting techniques.

 With this combination I was able to use modern and traditional techniques at the same time, to create images that I translate to canvas and thus to produce new contemporary art.

My work is inspired, among other things, by HOPE; Hope for a brighter future, in which, despite these terrible years, humanity will be able,

through conscious and two-way communication, to develop a way to preserve this beautiful world we live in, with respect and love for all that lives. Better days are coming...
